Two laps after the start we fight the Aston Martin DB4 (no14) Driven by M. Taylor, M. Vergers or P. Bennett. I’m curious who started the race in the Aston. I could not hold him in the end. My tyres got too hot and he got faster.

2008 24 Hours of Le Mans drivers:

Car number 007 will be crewed by Heinz-Harald Frentzen (Germany), Andrea Piccini (Italy) and Karl Wendlinger (Austria).

Car number 009 — the same number as last year’s class-winning car — will be driven by David Brabham (Australia), Antonio Garcia (Spain) and Darren Turner (Great Britain).

Antonio Garcia, Andrea Piccini, Darren Turner and Karl Wendlinger were at the test. The newcomers to the DBR9 in France were Ryan Dalziel, Robbie Kerr, and former Grand Prix star Heinz-Harald Frentzen.

As a side note, Corvette Racing will move to the GT2 class in the second half of the 2009 American Le Mans Series with plans for customer cars.
